L’attesa è finita: nell’alba di Los Angeles l’attrice Anne Hathaway e Tom Sherak, presidente dell’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hanno annunciato nel corso di una conferenza stampa al Samuel Goldwyn Theater di Beverly Hills, i candidati agli 82mi Academy Award, gli Oscar, tanto per capirci. Sono ventiquattro le categorie in cui si articola la corsa ai premi, che saranno assegnati il 7 marzo.
Prima di dare l’elenco di tutte le nomination, qualche considerazione, riservandoci altri approfondimenti nei prossimi giorni. Precious ad esempio, il piccolo film che ha fatto commuovere l’America è in corsa per sei Oscar: miglior attrice protagonista, con la giovanissima Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe; miglior film; miglior attrice non protagonista, Mo’nique (già vincitrice del Golden Globe), miglior regista, Lee Daniels, miglior adattamento della sceneggiatura e miglior montaggio. Nove, invece le candidature per Avatar , com’era prevedibile il film dei record ha avuto diverse nomination “tecniche”, ma anche quelle al miglior film ed alla migliore regia per i quali ha sbancato ai Golden Globe. Da segnalare – sempre per Avatar la candidatura del direttore della fotografia, italiano, Mauro Fiore .
A rappresentare l’Italia, per un Oscar al make up anche i truccatori de “Il Divo” Aldo Signoretti e Vittorio Sodano. E, in corsa per il prestigioso titolo alla sceneggiatura, Alessandro Camon, curatore con Oren Moverman della sceneggiatura di The Messenger
