It finished yeaterday in the three different Piemontese locations, the exhibition dedicated to the idol Aldo. In arts just Mondino: a postwar italian and international artist who left a sign more than a smile in everyone. HIperbolic, paradoxical, anarchic: Aldo Mondino wasn’t an artist focused on shocking the public. His games: linguistic, literary, ideological were made to destroy codes and predefined schemes in order to bring the art work back to a new centrality.
We cannot admire Mondino’s MIddle East. His journeys among colours, dresses and foreign faces are represented in the beatiful composition of the Mevlevi, Dervisci and the Carpet series.
The research of this artist has been varied and incessant until the end. The territory he used to live in decided to bring homage to his personality with an artistic retrospective suitable to Mondino’s importance.
